GOG, the digital storefront previously known as Good Old Games, has announced that it will be offering employees menstrual leave.First reported by Axios, GOG announced the news three weeks ago on its LinkedIn profile. “We’re happy to announce that, effective today, we’re implementing Menstrual Leave for all menstruating employees of GOG,” states the post.“Menstrual Leave fosters inclusiveness by accepting that there are biological differences in the workplace.

GOG has removed Hitman from its storefront after complaints and review bombing caused by online requirements.GOG is a storefront that prides itself on offering download rights management (DRM) free games. This means that the games can be played offline and don’t make any online checks to evaluate ownership.

Hitman on GOG has been hit with overwhelmingly negative reviews due to the inclusion of DRM. However, the store is removing reviews after labelling the backlash as a review bomb.Hitman currently sits at a review score of 1.4/5 on GOG, with the overwhelming majority of negative reviews highlighting the game’s DRM.

Konami titles now have modern controller support on GOG including Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill 4: The Room.The update means that players can use modern controllers including the Sony DualSense, Sony DualShock 4, all things Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S related, and the Nintendo Switch Pro. By doing so, they get to use optimized default key bindings as well as a “few smaller fixes to controller compatibility” although not much clarity has been offered on what that actually means.

EA’s Ultima Underworld and two Syndicate games are free on GOG, and those who already own them can claim a refund.GOG has seen the return of four games that have previously been removed from the platform. Ultima Underworld 1 & 2, Syndicate Plus, and Syndicate Wars are all available free of charge.

GOG is celebrating Bastille Day by giving away two classic adventure games – Syberia and Syberia II. The offer is available now until 17th July at 1 PM UTC.The Syberia series of games was originally released in 2002 and has since been ported to multiple platforms.
