GFRIEND, aespa and NewJeans are among the artists set to perform at the 39th Golden Disc Awards in January.South Korea’s Golden Disc Awards has announced the complete line-up for its upcoming 39th ceremony, which will take place over January 4 and 5 at the Mizuho PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan. The awards ceremony shared its line-up in two waves on December 3 and 9, comprising a total of 21 acts over the two days.Day one of the 39th Golden Disc Awards will include performances by popular K-pop girl groups like aespa, NewJeans and (G)I-DLE, along with singer-songwriters like BIBI and Crush.

Crush has made his debut appearance on ‘Tiny Desk Korea’.Crush made his first appearance on the international version of the iconic NPR series during the November 17 episode, opening his set with the song ‘New Day’. The track is a cut from his latest album ‘wonderego’, which he released last week.“To everyone who came to ‘Tiny Desk Korea’ today, I sincerely welcome you once again,” he said during an introduction portion of the set.

Crush has denied allegations of racism following a recent fan interaction at a music festival.On October 9, the singer performed at the ‘2022 SOMEDAY PLEROMA’ festival held at Yonsei University, and began to high-five fans while performing ‘Don’t Forget’. Several videos were captured and posted of the singer apparently waving off two Black fans before continuing to high-five others at the concert.Twitter user @tulipyeo claimed they were one of the fans Crush appeared to dismiss, alleging that the singer had said “no” to them and their roommate.

Psy has previewed a snippet of his new song ‘Happier’, featuring K-R&B singer-songwriter Crush.The animated teaser follows the life of a man from birth, who begins to lose sight of happiness as he grows older, panting as he desperately tries to keep up with the rat race as a snippet of the song plays.“I wanna be happier / I wanted to be someone’s love / I wanted to be proud,” the duo sing in the short clip. ‘Happier’ will be the eighth track of Psy’s upcoming comeback record, ‘Psy 9th’.‘Psy 9th’ is due out on April 29, and will mark the end of the singer’s five-year absence from music.
