Bowling For Soup guitarist Chris Burney has permanently retired from the band.The musician temporarily stepped back from his commitments with the Texas group last summer, and did not join them onstage at Download Festival 2024. Burney had reportedly suffered a leg injury, meaning he needed to return home from the tour.Since then, Bowling For Soup have been performing live as a trio.

Bowling For Soup have announced a massive show at London’s Wembley Arena set for the end of the year.The band – comprised of Jaret Reddick, Gary Wiseman and Rob Felicetti – will take over the iconic area during the holiday season on December 13. The likes of Wheatus and Punk Rock Factory will serve as opening support.

Alongside Simple Plan and Bowling For Soup, who have played 13 and nine years at the festival respectively, in being announced today (January 27), are Pennywise, Miss May I, Dance Hall Crashers and Chandler Leighton.Pennywise and Miss May I have both played the Warped Tour a number of times before, while Dance Hall Crashers, who previously played in 1996, are reuniting after 20 years.

New Found Glory, Bowling For Soup and Plain White T’s are among the artists set to contribute songs to an all pop-punk Disney covers album.‘A Whole New Sound’ will be released on September 6 and will be made up of classic songs from the Disney songbook reimagined by pop-punk groups.Other artists involved in the project include Simple Plan, Meet Me @ The Altar, Magnolia Park and Yellowcard.The latest single to be shared from the compilation is New Found Glory’s version of ‘Part Of Your World’, the beloved track from 1989’s The Little Mermaid.Listen to their version here:The band’s guitarist Chad Gilbert has said: “In approaching this song, I sat with the lyrics and melodies for a while. Bowling For Soup have announced a 20th anniversary UK tour of their album ‘A Hangover You Don’t Deserve’, set to kick off next year.The band – comprised of Jaret Reddick, Chris Burney, Gary Wiseman and Rob Felicetti – will embark in early 2025 with a show on February 5 at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool. From there, they will make stops in Edinburgh, Manchester, Wolverhampton, Plymouth, Swansea, Nottingham, and Brighton.
