Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus, who was facing a Stage 4 lymphoma diagnosis, had some good news for fans today: he’s been declared cancer-free by his oncologist.

Mark Hoppus has revealed he’s cancer free following a months-long battle with the disease. The Blink-182 bassist and vocalist first told fans about his diagnosis back in June, and revealed he had been undergoing chemotherapy. However, he made the announcement on Instagram on September 29 that he was on the road to recovery. “Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!!” he began.

Earlier this year, Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus stunned fans when he revealed he was battling cancer, but now he’s sharing the good news that doctors have given him a clean bill of health.

Simon Gallup announced he’s leaving the English rock band The Cure after four decades as its bassist.  The 61-year-old musician announced the news with an incredibly brief statement shared on his Facebook Saturday.  "With a slightly heavy heart I am no longer a member of the Cure ! Good luck to them all," he wrote.  In response to a commenter asking if he was OK given the abrupt change, Gallup noted that he’s fine, "just fed up of betrayal." Unfortunately, he didn’t elaborate on the betrayal he’s speaking of.  Representatives for The Cure did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
