21 Savage’s three-year immigration case has been put on pause due to an ongoing criminal case against the rapper.In 2019, the rapper was detained by ICE with agents saying that he was living in the United States illegally, since he was born in the UK and his visa had expired.Authorities then claimed that Savage threw out a bottle of codeine during the ICE arrest and that they also found a handgun in his vehicle while detaining him.The DeKalb County, Georgia district attorney who made the claims against the rapper did not formally charge Savage with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm until January of this year.Speaking to TMZ, 21’s immigration attorney Charles Kuck said that the pending charges in DeKalb have halted the immigration case, adding that his client is allowed to travel domestically but can’t leave the US because he has no visa to reenter the country.According to the report, there are currently no pending court dates for the criminal case. The rapper is currently slated to play multiple festivals this year, including Coachella and Bonnaroo.Back in 2019, Savage, real name Bin Abraham Joseph, spoke out about the arrest on immigration charges.“I was just driving,” Joseph said.

Buzzfeed News is reporting that 21 Savage turned himself in to Georgia authorities earlier this week after being made aware of a warrant out for his arrest on the basis of drug and weapons possession. Shortly after turning himself in — 12 minutes later, according to a report by Pitchfork — the rapper was released on bond.

21 Savage has been hit with gun and drug charges dating back to 2019.According to Buzzfeed, DeKalb County Jail records in Georgia show that the rapper was arrested last night (September 23) and he was later released on bail.The charges are in connection with an incident which saw him detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for violating the terms of his non-immigrant visa in February 2019. Savage, whose real name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was born in the UK but has been living in Atlanta since 2006.According to reports at the time, he was pulled over in Atlanta after he drove across the pavement to get onto another street.

21 Savage has released ‘Lazy Susan’, a new single with 88rising artists Rich Brian, Warren Hue, and Higher Brothers’ Masiwei.The song was first teased in the trailer for the upcoming Marvel film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. 21 Savage is grieving over the devastating death of his younger brother, Terrell Davis.According to, Davis was stabbed in London, England, on Sunday night. According to the report, Davis — who is also known by his stage name, TM1way — got into an argument with a friend, who suddenly stabbed him.

21 Savage has confirmed that he lost his “baby” brother, Terrell Davis, who was just 27 years old. “Can’t believe somebody took you baby bro I know I took my anger out on you I wish I could take that s–t back,” 21 Savage (real name Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph) wrote in an Instagram tribute on Nov. 23, in which the 28-year-old rapper also shared a childhood photo with Terrell and photos of his brother from 2015.

After debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 chart back in September, each song on the original album also landed on the Hot 100 chart.
