Taeyeon, NCT 127 and more to release new music in third quarter of 2024
nme.comTaeyeon of Girls’ Generation, boyband NCT 127, Red Velvet‘s Irene and more are expected to release new music in the third quarter of 2024, according to SM Entertainment.Today (May 8), SM Entertainment released its Earnings Release report for the first quarter of 2024, where the K-pop agency previewed its line-up of music releases for the third quarter of 2024.
It details a slew of planned album, mini-album and single releases from several SM artists for the period.Two artists – Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation and boyband NCT 127 – are expected to release full-length albums during the upcoming quarter.
Notably, the former is also slated to release a single during the same time span, though it is currently unclear if the two projects are related to one another.Artists who are scheduled to release mini-albums are: EXO‘s Chanyeol, Red Velvet’s Irene, NCT’s Jaehyun and SHINee‘s Key, as well as boyband NCT Wish.
Chinese group WayV is also expected to drop their first Japanese mini-album in the third quarter of 2024.SHINee’s Key is also scheduled to drop a Japanese single during the quarter, as are girl group aespa and boyband RIIZE.
