Sydney Sweeney has been cast in the upcoming Sony Marvel film Madame Web.The 24-year-old actress joins Dakota Johnson in the movie, according to Deadline, which will be directed by S.J.
Clarkson with a screenplay by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.It was not immediately clear what role Sweeney will have in the film.

Sweeney is currently working on the film National Anthem alongside Simon Rex and Halsey for filmmaker Tony Tost.Madame Web in the comic is seen as an older woman with psychic sensory powers battling Myasthenia Gravis, and linked to a life-support system resembling a spider web.
