deadline.comLionsgate’s has counterprogramming to next holiday season’s Avatar: Fire & Ash and that’s their thriller The Housemaid starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried.
The pic will come out on Christmas Day. The movie also stars Brandon Sklenar, and as we announced previously, 365 Days Italian actor Michele Morrone.
Based on the Freida McFadden novel and adapted by Rebecca Sonnenshine, the movie follows Millie (Sweeney) is a struggling young woman who is relieved to get a fresh start as a housemaid to Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar), an upscale, wealthy couple.
She soon learns that the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own. Producers are Todd Lieberman, Carly Kleinbart Elter, Feig and Laura Fischer.
