SXSW announces plans for in-person festival next year

Country star Mickey Guyton — resplendent in royal blue — united the players, the crowd and the country with her performance of the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday.Backed by a choir that, despite being decked out in all white, represented the diversity of America, the 38-year-old singer turned “The Star-Spangled Banner” into a musical statement about joining together and embracing each other’s differences. As a black female country artist who has had to overcome racism in the predominantly white male genre, it was a telling moment that she seized.Beginning the national anthem a cappella, Guyton let the purity of her voice ring through Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California before the Los Angeles Rams faced off against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Kanye West is clearly lovin’ it! The 44-year-old rapper made a quick and surprising cameo during a commercial for McDonalds Super Bowl LVI ad on Sunday February 13. The rapper was seen pulling up to the drive-thru in a futuristic-looking car, trying  to  decide what he should get before the big game’s kick-off.

Mickey Guyton, 38, was gorgeous when she stepped out in front of the Super Bowl 2022 audience at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA on Feb. 13 to sing a memorable version of the “The Star-Spangled Banner.” The singer wore a royal blue long-sleeved dress and stood in front of an American flag and a group of background singers all wearing white as she belted out the lyrics to one of the most popular songs in the USA. Issa Rae was awarded with a key to the city of Inglewood on Saturday, becoming the first-ever person to receive the honor.The 37-year-old actress/writer was presented with the key by Inglewood Mayor James T.
