Animal welfare experts are appealing for a home for a sweet four-year-old Labrador named Rue who is currently staying at Dogs Trust West Calder. Her carers say Rue is a gentle girl who enjoys life’s simple pleasures – especially tasty treats.A spokeswoman for Dogs Trust said: “An independent girl, Rue feels most at home in the garden and loves to potter around outside where she can sniff and explore to her heart’s content.“While she enjoys the quiet life, she also loves to zoom around and play with her favourite soft toys before settling in the sun to snooze.“Rue has had a difficult start in life and has never lived in a home environment or experienced being part of a family.“As she is a shy girl who can become overwhelmed in new situations, Rue would like to live in a peaceful adult-only home with someone who can help her continue to grow in confidence, moving at Rue’s pace.“She would love for her new home to have a large secure garden that she can relax and feel safe in.”If you think you could provide a home for Rue or any of the 50 dogs currently available for rehoming, please contact West Calder Rehoming Centre on 01506 873459.
