Following a diagnosis of ADHD earlier this year, former Hear'Say singer and soap star Suzanne Shaw believes her symptoms have been heightened by the hormonal changes that come with perimenopause.The 2008 Dancing On Ice champion spoke exclusively to OK!

about how her "hormonal changes" have sent her ADHD to "another level".The 42 year old, who played the role of Eve Jenson in ITV's Emmerdale, learnt that she had inattentive ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) in February this year.

Since the diagnosis, Suzanne said it has shed light on her lifelong challenges, from battling 'dark spells' to feeling overwhelmed by tasks, while her hormones have affected her ADHD.

The talented actress and singer shared: "My thoughts have raced at 100 miles per hour since I can remember, but hormonal changes are sending that to another level. "But now, I know that so many of my characteristics are likely linked to ADHD.Throughout my life, I’ve flipped from being hyper-focused and really positive to having periods where it feels like my brain has gone into shutdown.
