A suspect has been finally declared in the cold case of the missing toddler Madeleine McCann. In case you didn’t know, the 3-year-old had been vacationing in the Algarve region of Portugal when she suddenly disappeared on May 3, 2007, from her room while her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, dined nearby with friends.
Law enforcement immediately launched an international search for Madeleine. However, they were never able to find the child and no one has even been charged for her disappearance.
But now, the Prosecutor’s Office in Faro, Portugal announced on Thursday that someone has been made an official suspect in the case by German authorities per the request of Portuguese officials.
Investigators did not name the suspect at this time.
