Survey: Should June 21 lifting of all restrictions in England go ahead as planned?

June 21, the date originally given by the government as the earliest day step 4 on the roadmap out of lockdown could take place, would see the end to all legal limits on social contact.

That step would also see the reopening of remaining hospitality premises such as nightclubs as well as easing of Covid restrictions on large events such as weddings.

However with the recent rise in cases caused by the Indian variant of the virus many scientists are now divided on what the government should do from June 21 - and whether or not to delay it.
