Super Flower Moon captured gracing skies across UK in stunning photos

These stunning images show the colourful supermoon that has graced our skies tonight. London's skyscrapers and iconic sights such as Tower Bridge were illuminated by the beautiful sight.

It also lit up iconic buildings and skies around the world, including in Japan, Italy and India. "The wonders of this beautiful earth we live in," wrote one captivated admirer.

The full moon in May is also known as the "flower moon", signifying the flowers that bloom during the month. The moon was fully illuminated thanks to its location on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun.

It is around 6% larger than a typical full moon and around 14% bigger than a micromoon, which is when the moon is at its furthest point from Earth.
