The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX 40-22, and it wasn’t even that close. While the Chiefs tacked on a couple of scores in the fourth quarter, the game was all but over at 40-6 with eight minutes to go.

The victory marks the Eagles second Super Bowl win this decade. The Eagles faced the Chiefs in the Super Bowl two years ago and lost, 38-35.

The Eagles’ only other Super Bowl win came against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in 2018. Brady was there for this one, too, calling the game for Fox.

The matchup marked the seventh time the Chiefs have been to the big game and the team’s third appearance in a row. What’s more, if they won, it would technically have made the Patrick Mahomes-led team the first in league history to win three Super Bowls in a row.
