Gen X,” she was already a cancer survivor, having beaten breast cancer in 2012. A mother of four, she was a youth pastor who had been working in the ministry for 26 years.
On “Survivor,” which was set in Fiji, Burquest was part of the Gen X tribe, known as Takali. When the tribes later changed and merged, she became a member of Ikabula and then Vinaka.
Burquest stayed on “Survivor” for 35 days, making it to the top seven cast members.“Coming home after the show was honestly the weirdest feeling ever.
