Personal Independence Payment (PIP ) is a benefit that helps people over the age of 16 with the extra costs of living with a long-term illness, disability or mental health condition.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) could give you between £23.60 and £151.40 per week to help with the costs of daily living and mobility needs.
If you are awarded PIP you may be entitled to extra money on top of your existing benefits, a reduction in your Council Tax or Road Tax bills and discounts on travel.
