Student wins Royal Television Society Scotland Student Award for 'Buried' documentary about domestic abuse

A Coatbridge student has won a prestigious Royal Television Society (RTS) Scotland Student Award for a thought-provoking documentary about domestic abuse.

Carla Basu, an MA broadcast journalism student at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), came out top in the journalism category for her film Bruised.She received support on the project from UWS graduates Lauren Fitzpatrick and Adam Millar.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
