Zara McDermott, former Love Island star and documentary filmmaker, was subjected to a horrifying attack while out Christmas shopping in the last-minute festive rush.The former Strictly Come Dancing star described the ordeal as "completely vile" on social media after both her and a pal were targeted in the vile attack.

Detailing the incident to her fans online, Zara recounted how she was with her brother's girlfriend, Alice, when an aggressive individual unexpectedly confronted them, according to reports in OK!Taking to Instagram to share with her two million followers, she explained: "Guys, me and Alice are actually really shocked at what just happened.

We were just getting some last minute christmas bits just walking down the street, normal normal stuff and this guy out of nowhere runs up to us , spits on us, thankfully it just missed because of the wind and then walked off in the other direction.

I can't believe it."In a disturbing update, she added: "I think I would have been really shaken up if alone! Luckily I was with Alice.
