British racing sensation Billy Monger is swapping the forecourt for the dancefloor this festive season as he shows off his ballroom skills in Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas special.
Paired with professional dancer Nadiya Bychkova, the 25-year-old will be performing a jolly routine in the hopes of taking home the show's festive-themed glitterball trophy.
While Billy's career is speeding ahead after taking part in Celebrity Race Across the World last year and presenting at the Paralympics, the racing driver dramatically changed in 2017 after a devastating crash resulted in the amputation of both his legs.The young star was only 17 when he suffered grave injuries at Donington Park in April 2017, an event that has been marked as one of the most horrific in British motorsport history.
Just shy of his 18th birthday, Billy was competing in the Formula 4 championship race when his vehicle collided with a stationary car at a harrowing speed of 120mph.
