Strictly Come Dancing looks set to be about to introduce same sex couples for the first time ever on the BBC show. Actress Gillian Anderson and singer Jessie J are rumoured to be in the running to make up one half of a same-sex pairing.
There have also been rumours that pro-dancer Johannes Radebe could be coupled up with a male celebrity, although bosses are also said to believe the idea is "too predictable".
Last year, Johannes and Graziano di Prima danced together for the first same-sex couple routine in the series' 15-year history.
An insider told The Sun : "Obviously ‘diversity’ is the key word in television today and, of course, Strictly wants to be progressive. “The plan is to have a same-sex couple, and two women.
