Strictly Come Dancing's Shirley Ballas has hit out at the "vile trolling" she has received recently.The head judge, 62, took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal she had won two gongs recently, one at the Legends Of Industry Awards 2022 and another at the Ballroom Dancers' Federation.
Posting a snap with her Special Award from the BDF, Shirley penned: "This certainly made a difficult week more beautiful. Second industry award this week.
I guess I do know a thing or two about dance. "Feeling honoured to be celebrated in my own industry for outstanding work spanning four decades." Shirley also posted snaps with her Choreography and Dance award at the Legends Of Industry Awards 2022, writing: "Last Thursday at @varietygb's Legend Of Industry Awards 2022. "I was very honoured to receive my award for Choreography & Dance" with a heart emoji.
She added: "After weeks of vile trolling this was a breath of fresh air." It comes as Shirley called for "respect" after receiving hurtful comments on social media.
