Shirley Ballas has confirmed her split from fiancé Danny Taylor after six years. It was first reported the couple had called it quits last month after calling off their engagement last year.
Now, speaking publicly on the break up, the Strictly Come Dancing head judge has branded her love life ‘a disaster’. Confirming that she and her boyfriend are officially over for the first time, The Sun reports that Shirley, 64, told the Great Company podcast on this week’s upcoming episode: “Currently, I’ve just split with my boyfriend.
My relationships have been a disaster, all the way along the line.” The professional dancer, who has been twice married and engaged four times is looking on the bright side, as she expressed how grateful she was for her 87-year-old mother Audrey, and son Mark, 38. “But what I am truly grateful for is that I still have my mother, and that she lives with me, and I get these precious moments with her,” she said. “Because my mother is the only thing that’s been a staple in my life.
No friend, no marriage, no nothing.” Shirley and Danny got engaged in 2021, three years after meeting while appearing in a Jack And The Beanstalk panto together in 2018.
