Strictly's Krishnan Guru-Murthy poses with dad for 90th birthday - still working for NHS

The Channel 4 newsreader, who recently lost out to Angela Rippon in the Strictly Dance Off, thanked his dad for being a "remarkable man" as he gushed about his longstanding NHS achievements.
The proud TV star revealed his dad Dr Krishnan Guru-Murthy has worked for the NHS since 1962. Krishnan's recent Strictly exit meant he just missed out on the chance to perform on the iconic dancefloor in Blackpool last week but he's been able to take the time to celebrate his dad's 90th birthday Sharing a glimpse at some special family moments with his 49,600 followers, the presenter posted a selection of photos of his dad over the years.
Penning a heartfelt caption, Krishnan wrote: "Happy 90th Birthday Dr Krishnan Guru-Murthy! He’s at work today as usual, in the NHS, where he must surely by now be the longest serving Consultant Radiologist on record. "He became an NHS doctor when he arrived in the UK in 1962 and was made a consultant in the early 1970s.
