Strictly's Katya Jones opens up on Janette Manrara's 'difficult' decision to quit

Katya Jones has opened up about her friend Janette Manrara's new job on Strictly: It Takes Two. Last night, Janette announced she was quitting the main dance show to take over from Zoe Ball on the BBC Two spin off.

Katya revealed it had been a "difficult decision" for the dancer, who she will miss very much on the main show. "Me and Janette are one of the closest friends and when I found out yesterday, literally just before The One Show.

Literally tears came to my eyes because I know how much she deserves it, she’s worked really, really hard towards this," she said on Jeremy Vine on 5.

Katya added it was a 'natural progression' for her talented co-star but said she would be 'dearly missed' on the dance floor by the professionals and viewers
