Strictly’s Dianne Buswell reveals her seven-word reaction to being paired with now-boyfriend Joe Sugg

Strictly Come Dancing 2024 was a ground breaking year for Dianne Buswell, winning the show with her celeb partner Chris McCausland after joining in 2017.

Although the Australian dancer had been in three finals, one with now-boyfriend Joe Sugg, she had never lifted the glitterball until this year.

However, another life changing year for the star came in 2018, when she was paired with YouTube sensation Joe Sugg.The pair got on like a house on fire, and struck up a relationship that is still going strong to this day.This year, the show celebrated its 20th anniversary, and to go along with that, BBC released a show titled Strictly Come Dancing: 20 Fabulous Years with accounts from professional dancers and celebrities who had previously taken part.

Speaking on the start of their journey together, Dianne recalled: “When I was first partnered with Joe, I was buzzing! I was like ‘Oh yeah I’m going to get so many Instagram followers!’” Joe who was sitting on the sofa next to her could be seen bursting out laughing upon hearing Dianne’s revelation. “Is that why everyone was floating around me at the start?” he questioned as Dianne joked: “Duhhh!” “I admire your honesty,” laughed the social media star.
