'Strictly's Chris McCausland and I have exact same eye condition - here's what I can see'

Strictly Come Dancing finalist and comedian Chris McCausland completely lost his sight at the age of 22 due to a hereditary condition called retinitis pigmentosa (RP).

During his time on the glitzy BBC show with his pro partner Dianne Buswell, Chris has been applauded for his ability to learn the routines without any visual aids and even performed a poignant dance that imitated his experience with blindness.

At the same time, he's been inadvertently raising awareness of his condition, which has become essential for viewers at home, including Sarah Brandt, 50, was who diagnosed with RP at the age of 25.

Speaking exclusively to OK! Sarah told us: "I'm registered blind, I don't have any useful vision in my left eye, it's completely blurry, and in my right eye, it's around four per cent, and it's like looking through a straw" - this is different to Chris who has lost all of his sight.
