Comedian Bill Bailey has emerged as the dark horse of Strictly Come Dancing 2020, wowing the judges week in, week out with his impressive routines.

But the star is nothing if not dedicated. In the run up to the show he studied professional ballroom dancing, and actually attended dance lessons as a teenager. “There was a dance school across the road from our house and I learned the waltz, the foxtrot and the quickstep," he wrote in his latest book, Bill Bailey’s Remarkable Guide to Happiness.

And Bill was just as committed when it came to wooing his wife after their electric first meeting in 1987. The star was immediately entranced when he spotted the quirky blonde at one of his gigs.
