This weekend, Strictly Come Dancing returns to Blackpool in the iconic Tower Ballroom, a part of the series loved by its professional dancers, judges, celebrity contestants and viewers at home.
While they'll dazzle us on the famous dancefloor, behind the scenes, there's a lot more to it, with broom cupboards turned into dressing rooms and a toilet used as a physio room. The show this Saturday (16 November) will be filmed from Blackpool, and while the show is all about glitz and glamour, the Tower Ballroom is a far cry from their usual BBC Elstree Studio in Hertfordshire.
So much so that they've had to completely collapse the set and use their imagination when it comes to using the space. She added: "Which everyone loves", before revealing: "We even use a large toilet as our physio room.
So the poor physio gets to spend the whole day in the toilet. We do cover the toilets for them." Jason Gilkison, Creative Director of Strictly, also made a revelation about the logistics the team faced at Blackpool's iconic Tower Ballroom.
