Strictly's Anton du Beke says 'painful' hair transplant changed his life

Strictly Come Dancing star Anton du Beke has opened up about undergoing a hair transplant and credits the "painful procedure" with transforming his life.

Appearing on Channel 4 's Steph’s Packed Lunch, the dancer discussed his reasons for resorting to surgery in a quest for a fuller head of hair.

Speaking to Steph McGoven, Anton said: “I started to lose my hair a few years ago… Every time I looked in the mirror it’s all I could see. “It is a painful procedure… It doesn’t hurt as much as looking into the mirror and seeing your hairline disappearing. " The Strictly star was upfront and honest when asked to discuss the impact hair loss had on his self-esteem.
