Strictly Come Dancing's judge Shirley Ballas left fans in awe as she transformed into Miss Trunchball for the show's Musicals Week. The 64 year old fully embraced the week's theme, dressing up as the infamous villain from the West End musical Matilda, based on Roald Dahl's 1988 children's novel.
Wearing plenty of padding and a military-style jacket, Shirley completely embodied the character, even pulling off a stern facial expression.
Her hair was neatly tied in a tight bun, while makeup artists had skilfully aged her face to appear older and harsher. Before the show kicked off, Shirley teased fans with a sneak peek of her costume on Instagram, sharing a behind-the-scenes snap from the BBC show.
Striking a pose, she captioned the photo with a quote from Matilda: "I'm right and you're wrong, I'm big and you're small, and there's nothing you can do about it." She added: "Miss Trunchball is ready for Musicals Week @bbcstrictly." Urging fans to tune in, she wrote: "Please tune in now for the show of a lifetime. The numbers are simply spectacular.
