Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri credits BBC show for bringing back 'spark' to her life

Love Island's Tasha Ghouri has opened up about the incredible boost in confidence she's gained from her time on Strictly Come Dancing, saying it's "given me back my spark".Tasha, who has secured a place in this year's final, reflected on her time in the dance competition and revealed how much strength and independence the experience has given her. "I'm quite shy and introverted, I found so much more confidence in myself.

As a woman I feel stronger, so much more independent, I feel I can leave this experience knowing who Tasha is even more," she said.Teaming up with pro dancer Aljaz Skorjanec, Tasha also shared how it's been an "absolute dream" to inspire those in the deaf community to embrace their own confidence and self-belief.

She added that she's been touched by the impact she's had, noting: "The amount of messages I've had from younger women and children saying they felt represented because they've seen me on TV.That's the power of representation and with Chris as well, I feel that it's been such a special year to be a part of." The 26 year old, who's now loved-up with her Love Island match Andrew Le Page, recalled the dramatic moment her cochlear implant came loose during musicals week, describing it as a "shock moment" since it never happened before.

But she and Aljaz locked eyes and knew they had to. "I remember looking at Aljaz's eyes and in our minds we said 'just keep going'.
