Strictly Come Dancing's Ellie Simmonds explains Waltz adaptations amid 'challenging' week

Strictly Come Dancing stars Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin will take to the dance floor for the second time on Saturday night (October 1) and have shared on spin-off show It Takes Two that it's been a "challenging week".

Ellie, 27, is a gold medal-winning Paralympian. She has achondroplasia, a form of short-limbed dwarfism, and is the first person with the condition to ever compete on the BBC show.

As Nikita, 24, is 5'9 and as Ellie is 4ft, the pair are developing creative ways to dance together and remain in hold. The duo received an admirable score of 266 out of 40 for their week one Cha Cha Cha, placing them in the middle of the leaderboard.This week they're tackling, the Waltz which Nikita has admitted is "challenging".

Speaking on It Takes Two, the professional dancer told host and former Strictly pro Janette Manrara about the adaptations he and Ellie have made to make the routine work.
