Strictly Come Dancing's Anton Du Beke felt 'inadequate' in 'emotional' struggle with wife

Speaking on the latest episode of Giovanna Fletcher's podcast, Happy Mum Happy Baby, Strictly Come Dancing stalwart Anton Du Beke became emotional as he opened about a 'stressful' period for his family.

Saying that he was in awe of the tireless efforts that women have to go through during pregnancy, he gave an analogy of his role in his wife Hannah's recent pregnancy, saying he was like Frozen character, Olaf, and how he tries to keep hold of dandelion fuzz in the Disney film.

Explaining the analogy in more detail, he said: "This is what it felt like to me, throughout the whole time Hannah was pregnant.

I felt like I was holding dandelion fuzz and at any second it could just go away into the aether. That was my whole being." He added: "She had these injections, and the bruises on the bum and the thigh, and you're trying to do it and trying to help, but what can you do?" As the due date for his twins Henrietta and George approached, he said that he was trying to provide as much support to his wife as he could: "Whatever you want, tell me and I'll do it", he recalled telling her. "It's horrendous as a man to watch it.
