While it's not the first time he's had to be away from his first child, the new dad did appear to be enjoying a little date night with his wife Janette Manrara.
The BBC One dance contest's former professional dancer took to Instagram with a couple of pictures and a video from his and Janette's dinner out at San Carlo in Alderley Edge.
The couple, who moved to Cheshire earlier this year, stole some time to themselves as Aljaz's sister visited from Slovenia with her husband and children so they could meet their baby cousin.
