The professional dancer and former EastEnders actor performed for the judges and viewers watching the BBC One dance contest at home for the first time on Saturday.
While the launch show had already aired the previous weekend, the competition officially began as all 15 couples performed for the judges scores and for viewers' votes when the lines open during week two of the competition on Saturday (September 30) with the first elimnination of the 2023 run taking place on Sunday (October 1).
Week offered a spectacular string of performances with Nigel topping the leaderboard on Saturday after he closed the programme with a dramatic paso doble.
