The writing process has commenced for the fifth and final season of the Netflix hit Stranger Things.A tweet from the show's writer's room Tuesday revealed the title Stranger Things with the number five on a dry erase board in the background, with the caption, 'Day 1.'The show's creators and showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer said in a statement this past February that they were going to wrap up the series with its fifth season.

'But first we hope you stay with us as we finish this tale.'The brothers began a production company called Upside Down Pictures and agreed to a new deal with Netflix for future projects, Deadlinereported in July.
Among the projects in the works include a live-action Stranger Things spinoff, and a stage play using the universe in the series for topic matter.Kate Trefry will pen the play while director Stephen Daldry and producer Sonia Friedman are also involved with the project.
