Finn Wolfhard has announced his debut solo album ‘Happy Birthday’ and has shared its nostalgic lead single ‘Choose The Latter’.Opening with bright and jangly guitars, a bumping bassline and steady drums, ‘Choose The Latter’ is reminiscent of early 2000’s indie pop, with Wolfhard’s distinct voice singing: “If can’t move then I can’t see / I choose the latter / Choose the latter,” in the song’s rousing chorus.The song’s DIY accompanying music video sees Wolfhard performing the single while on a green-screen roller coaster.

Wolfhard is no stranger to the music world as he previously fronted the band Calpurnia and was one half of the pop duo The Aubreys.A press release describes the album as “a dizzying rush of nine songs” that “grew out of Wolfhard’s personal challenge to pen 50 songs by the end of 2022.” ‘Happy Birthday’ is set for release on June 6 via AWAL and can be pre-ordered here.Speaking about the album, Wolfhard shared: “I ended up writing a lot of terrible stuff, but a few of those songs I was really proud of went to the Aubreys.
