Pictures showed how Storm Darragh tore down a tree in a suburb in Cheshire today. It fell across a pavement, crashed through the fencing of a semi-detached home and landed on a car in the driveway.
It is believed nobody was hurt, although some damage was caused to the car and fence. This afternoon, our pictures showed the uprooted tree laying across the pavement and fencing into the garden of a home in Gravel Lane in Wilmslow.
It comes as millions have been told to stay indoors elsewhere in the country as Storm Darragh batters the UK on Saturday. A rare Met Office red warning for wind was issued for parts of Wales and the south west which came into force in the early hours.
It meant dangerous weather is expected and people are urged to take action to keep themselves and others safe.
