Stirling and Clackmannanshire is to receive more than £350million to support vital council services alongside funding for new school buildings under the 2025-26 Scottish budget.The funding is to be made available through the £2billion Learning Estate Investment Programme, which the Scottish Government will provide significant investment to progress the Lochies School, in Sauchie, Clackmannanshire, and Callander Primary School, Callander, Stirling, projects.The Scottish Government also say that the budget will provide £2.75million for Clackmannanshire’s Early Adopter Communities project which will continue to develop an all-year-round system of childcare that supports families who need it most.
That includes after-school, breakfast and holiday clubs for families who would otherwise struggle to afford it, and support for families with younger children.Ahead of a speech in Stirling today (Wednesday), First Minister John Swinney urged the Scottish Parliament to back the budget, which “delivers funding for communities the length and breadth of Scotland”.
