The tough times keep coming for Stirling Albion at the moment as they slipped to another league defeat at Cove - but boss Darren Young believes his side’s performance shows they can turn things around. The Binos produced a more competitive display against League One’s in-form side at the Balmoral on Saturday than against Hamilton in their previous match and even took the lead through Dale Carrick’s first half strike before Paul Hartley’s hosts turned it around.Rumarn Burrell’s fantastic hat-trick kept the points with the Aberdeen side, but Stirling will be ruing opportunities to extend their lead at 1-0 and eventually fell to their fifth straight league defeat.Young praised his side’s first-half display, but admitted things were going against his side at the moment. The Stirling manager said: “It was a game of two halves, I thought we came out of the blocks really well.“We spoke about getting a reaction after last week and we got that reaction, scored a great goal and limited them to very little in the first half.

We had a few more half-chances and had a good chance to go up 2-0 and the work rate and desire was clear for all to see but there were wee instances within the game that changes it.“Right before half-time, they get the foul, the free kick becomes a stramash and the guy toe pokes it and it’s a bit of a nightmare with the timing because it gives them a wee boost.“We came out OK in the second half but we don’t stop the cross coming in and it’s an unbelievable header from Burrell - it’s a great cross but I’m looking for my defender to come and stop that, to show him on to his weaker foot.“We think we have a stonewall penalty after that, Pabs has got a great opportunity for a header and the guy just grabs his jersey
