Stewartry under-16s run out winners against Wigtownshire

However, this was quickly dispelled when the team Shire put out was significantly changed and larger. Shire kicked off and immediately put Stewartry under pressure, forcing a series of penalties and diving over from a quick tap near the line.
Stewartry had hardly woken up but knew they were in for a tougher contest. The roles were then reversed as Stewartry hit back quickly by pressuring after their own kick-off and, like the Shire, forced a few penalties from which Arthur Bolland drove over from close range.
There was a then a period of inconclusive rugby, with both sides kicking well, defences on top, Shire dominating the scrums and Stewartry the lineouts through Angus Valentine.
