Regan says it’s time for the animosity which has swamped the game north of the border ever since the SPFL league ending resolution was passed two months ago to end.
Hearts and Partick Thistle are pressing ahead with legal action over their relegations which resulted from the early end to the season and the failed attempt at league reconstruction.
But Regan - who stepped down as chief executive of the SFA after a turbulent spell in 2018 - told BBC Scotland: “Scottish football is in a dreadful position. “Falling out, animosity, legal challenges.“All these things are just not where the league needs to be ahead of the start of a new season, a new TV contract.“At the heart of it is money and fear.
