Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Alfredo Morelos ending his three-month domestic goal drought is a confidence booster for the Colombian ahead of another attempt to break his Old Firm scoring duck.

The striker bagged the second with a cool finish in the 2-0 win over St Mirren after Kemar Roofe ’s opener which sent the Light Blues into Saturday’s derby showdown on a high as they maintained their 16-point lead at the top.

Morelos hadn’t scored in the Scottish Premiership since the 2-2 draw against Hibs at Easter Road back in September and was on an eight-game scoreless streak before his goal in Paisley, last finding the net against Benfica on November 5.
