Steve Winwood just announced he’s heading out on his first North American headlining tour since 2018.As of now, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is slated to perform at nine theaters, performing arts centers, amphitheaters and casinos this September.While on the brief run, he’s scheduled to headline five New York and New Jersey shows.First, the 76-year-old singer/guitarist/bassist/keyboardist drops into Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theater on Wednesday, Sept.
17.After that, the former Traffic/Spencer Davis Group/Blind Faith frontman will sling the hits at Red Bank, NJ’s Count Basie Center For The Arts on Friday, Sept.
19, Morristown, NJ’s Mayo Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Sept. 24, Atlantic City, NJ’s Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and, finally, Verona, NY’s Turning Stone Resort Casino on Saturday, Sept.
27.Special guest Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will join him for his Sept. 20 gig in Vienna, VA.In addition to the tour, Winwood has a few other exciting performances in the works.
