Miguel Almiron has been labeled “a manager's dream” by boss Steve Bruce – even though he can't find a starting place for him.
The £20m Paraguayan striker is Bruce's odd man out after the return to fitness and form of giant striker Andy Carroll. Almiron was relegated to the bench in the win against West Ham last week, despite being a talisman last season.
His defence splitting pass created Ryan Fraser's goal in midweek against Blackburn, but both creative stars face being “game-changers” from the bench this week.
Bruce says Almiron never stops smiling and added: “I think you all know what I think of Almiron. He's a manager's dream and a delight.
