Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Disney is throwing the full weight of its portfolio of platforms behind Sterling K. Brown and “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman‘s new Hulu series “Paradise” by giving the political thriller a linear launch on ABC and FX, as well.
The new series, which marks Brown’s splashy return as a TV series regular following the end of Fogelman’s hit NBC family drama in 2022, will debut its first three episodes on Hulu on Jan.
28. Then the first episode only will be broadcast on ABC on Jan. 29 at 10 p.m., followed by an airing on FX on Feb. 1 at 10 p.m.
From there, the eight-episode first season of “Paradise” will continue to roll out its new episodes weekly on Hulu. This sampling method for the “Paradise” premiere is an unprecedented one for Disney, which has never before offered up the first episode of a new streaming series at this scale at launch.
