Following his release from Easter Road, St Mirren had offered him a contract in a bid to bring him back and bolster their midfield once again.
Robinson now feels the 28-year-old is beyond their budget, with any new signings dependent on current players moving out the door first.Robinson told Renfrewshire Live Sport: “Unfortunately, Alex is way out of our reach.
