EastEnders and The Crown actor Stephen Greif has died at the age of 78.The star's death was announced by his publicists on Monday, saying that they'd "miss" him dearly.In a statement they added: "With great sadness we announce the death of our wonderful client Stephen Greif."His extensive career included numerous roles on screen and stage, including at the National Theatre, RSC and in the West End."We will miss him dearly and our thoughts are with his family and friends."The award winning actor scooped gongs for Best Actor and Most Promising Actor after graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, writes The Mirror.He most recently appeared in Speaker of the House, Sir Bernard Weatherill, in the Netflix hit The Crown back in 2020.Reacting to his death, Doctor Who star Barnaby Edwards said he was "very saddened to hear that Stephen Greif has left us".He added: "A rock-solid performer with a voice as liquid and deadly as molten lava.
