Stephen Graham and Leonardo DiCaprio struck up an unlikely friendship - but it almost ended in disaster. The pair are so close that Stephen stays at Leo's place when he visits LA, despite the fact the American actor struggles to understand what the Scouser is saying a lot of the time.
The esteemed actors met on the set of 2002 movie Gangs of New York and became close pals during filming, "testing" each other out to see how far they could go.
They quickly became "really good mates" and DiCaprio would drive around on set in a golf cart, so Stephen asked if he could get behind the wheel. "Two days before we're due to start work he's driving around in this golf cart and I've asked him if I can have a go," said Stephen on The Jonathan Ross Show
